How We Started

Turning Point Education Services is Sandcastle Centers in FL

Sandcastle Centers began as the Florida branch of Turning Point Education Services, a Maryland company. The first clinic in Florida was established in 2014 in Gulf Breeze. Due to the differences in funding sources between the two states and the way those would be managed, we decided to re-brand our Florida location as Sandcastle Centers.

Great Team

Above all, our team’s talent for and love of creating positive change in the lives of the families they serve remains unchanged.

Now offering in home services

Sandcastle Centers provides services in multiple environments. We work with families to determine the best location for services. For our families with young children who are focusing on intensive early intervention, we created our early intervention center. For our families who need additional support and training in the home with bedtime routines, feeding and eating help, morning routines, etc, we provide targeted and individualized interventions in the home setting. All new clients receive a individualized therapy plan.

We Believe that

All children are capable of learning. We are excited and honored to partner with families in their child’s educational and developmental journey.

Our Mission

Sandcastle Centers exists to change the trajectory of a child’s life. We do this by providing complete and highly effective behavior analytic therapy.

Meet the Team

Erica Kinnebrew, BCBA | CEO

Erica Kinnebrew is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with over 14 years of experience working with children with special needs. She has worked in private clinics, consulted with school districts and taught in the classroom. The children she’s worked with range in ages from 1 1/2 years old to college age.

Erica has a Master’s of Science from Florida State University in Emotional Disturbances and Learning Disabilities with a graduate certificate in Behavior Analysis from the Florida Institute of Technology. She also holds a license in Maryland as a Behavior Analyst.

She is inspired by the amazingness of these kids who don’t “fit society’s mold.” Her desire is to be a part of the change that helps children in general reach their full potential. She and her family are excited to call Orlando, FL home after years of moving all over the country with the Army.

Shannon Leveille, BCBA | Clinic Director

Shannon Leveille has over 18 years experience working with children and families. Her experience ranges from assisting in starting a large intensive clinic based program in Michigan to providing services to children in homes and schools in Florida. In addition to her work with children, Shannon also has experience providing services to adults in residential homes. However, she began her career as a mental health therapist. Early in her career she worked at a school as a behavior specialist. It was here that she met her first child with autism. Through this experience she found her passion for applied behavior analysis.

Shannon’s passion is in working with parents to effectively implement behavior interventions. She strongly believes in the power of ABA to change lives and is eager to teach parents and other caregivers how to implement the science effectively. She uses humor, compassion and patience to assist families with the challenges that having a child on the Autism Spectrum can bring.

Chelsea Cassler, BCBA

Chelsea is originally from southern Louisiana. She’s lived in or around the Gulf Coast most of her life with the exception of her Masters course work, which was completed in Michigan. In 2014, Chelsea obtained her Masters of Science in Clinical Behavioral Psychology from Eastern Michigan University. Upon graduation, she moved back to Florida. She has been working as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst since the fall of 2014 and loves her career choice. She hopes to continue learning from the children she works with and growing professionally throughout the years.

Kim Duvall, BCBA

Kim Duvall joined the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in 2011. She began working with clients on the Autism Spectrum at a small facility in her neighborhood. Once determining that ABA was her passion, she began pursuing her master’s level certification as a Behavior Analyst. Since this time, she has continually built upon her knowledge base by gleaning from others and by seeing the principles of ABA at work daily. Kim has experience working in a variety of settings to include clinic, school, and home. She uses a humorous approach to build rapport with clients and enjoys learning about their interests.

Kim is a Florida Panhandle native and graduate of the University of West Florida. In 2014 she received her bachelor’s in General and Special Education. Then in 2016, her master’s in Special Education. Kim enjoys being outdoors and has recently taken up leisure biking with her husband. Kim also enjoys reading, watching movies, and listening to various styles of music.
